Diamond Home Assist have had a great deal of success caring for our clients with complex needs. Whether they have Down’s Syndrome, autism or an undiagnosed learning disability, we can help.

We provide high quality complex needs support in West Lothian and West Edinburgh, specialising in working with clients who require care in their own homes or need financial assistance or companionship whilst they integrate with the community.

We know that no two clients are the same, which is why we meet each client beforehand and take time to understand their needs. We always keep the client in control and provide them with the level of support they need.

Below you will find a full breakdown of our available services. Alternatively, you can get in touch and discuss available options and services.

All our staff work using Positive Behaviour Support, a person-centred approach for people with a learning disability who may or may not be at risk of displaying challenging behaviours.

We believe this is an absolute must with complex needs clients, and our team are passionate about improving our clients’ quality of life, working with them to reduce challenging  behaviours.

We aim to provide a safe environment for our clients, making sure that the staff supporting them have the skills and knowledge to encourage choice and control in the person’s behaviour.

Dedicated Help Around the Home

We can provide care in all aspects of their lives, including their physical needs. From ensuring they get fresh air and exercise, to preparing and eating healthy meals, we will encourage them on the right path.

Our staff are more than happy to help with daily tasks that have become difficult, whether this is laundry, batch cooking, shopping, getting to the doctors or even just getting to the park for fresh air. Whatever makes life more comfortable, we will help.

Finding Employment

We know that having a job can provide a real sense of purpose and belonging, which is why our experienced team can help clients to find work, whether this is volunteering or paid roles.

Our dedicated carers will listen and give specific advice for your situation. With many years of experience, they can support clients with developing social skills and confidence, looking for job listings, writing a CV and identifying strengths and transferable skills.

Community Support

Feeling like a part of their community can help clients feel connected and stay safe, so we encourage them to join clubs and attend activities, to help build bonds with others.

Our expert carers will attend community sessions alongside your loved one and help them to integrate for as long as they need us.

Financial Assistance

We take the time to fully review their finances and ensure they are getting all the benefits they are entitled to, and ensure they are not overpaying for utilities and that they are not being financially abused.
